Being one of the least experienced PyWright users, I don't know about how annoying using PyWright might get at times. What constructs in code, or issues with art, or format restrictions, really make you want to pull the ring the doorbell and run away prank on me; and why?
If I get no responses, I will assume (as I always do) that everything is perfect and peachy keen. And I will spend my days making wax sculptures of top of Judge's head instead of improving things.
Take your pick.

Hey, Saluk!
First let me say that using PyWright is a pleasure. I don't have a programming background, but I know my way around HTML and CSS and I think PyWright is a piece of cake. Delicious, delicious cake. A year or so ago I wrote a short, non-interactive script to help me learn a PW engine. Nothing too fancy, but using sfx, music, and text effects. Last night I got started on scripting it. From knowing zero to completed "game" took around 6 hours. Awesome!
That being said, I do have some feature requests:
- Make it easier to change the screen size.
- Allow multi-word names.
- Is there an animation for Franziska's whip outside of court? I couldn't find it anywhere.
- Documentation could be better. For instance, an explanation of how to use the included art/music/sfx (stored in PyWright root) versus your own (stored in the game directory) would be helpful.
And I ran into some bugs, maybe?
- Franziska's default nametag is too long for the name box, at least on my monitor.
- If you click on the "next" button and do not have the pointer on the same pixel when you release the mouse, it does not move on to the next screen.
- If you close the program and there is any ongoing error (such as a music file not loading), the program crashes and gives the "see log file" error message instead of just closing.
- I'm not totally sure about this one, but it seemed like using the character é crashed PyWright. Removing it did fix the problem, but it handled ñ just fine later on, so I'm not really sure.
Thanks for making this amazing engine! If I can help out with documentation or test cases, let me know!

Good points! Thanks for checking out PyWright StBacchus.
I think multi-word names may be possible… I'll get back to you on it. The whip may not be in there, if you have looked and it's missing, it's probably missing. If you could make a sprite or know where to get the sprite I can add it to the artpacks. I don't think that one is on court-records.net, where most of the art is from.
Documentation is a very serious issue, it's also a big job. Writing good guides is close to as much work as making the engine in the first place (probably as important too!). I did write a short guide on where to put custom art recently, I will probably write short guides like that occasionally rather than spend a lot of time to write one monolithic new help guide which covers everything. Eventually these small guides may end up in some documentation. Also, I am having a go at writing a tutorial, and FerdieLance is as well. Thanks for the advice, if you have any small tutorial or guide to contribute that would help, although I would ask to wait a bit until the tutorials are finished so there isn't too much duplication of effort.
I will have a look at the clicking the next button issue. I have noticed this from time to time, but wasn't really sure what was causing it. At one point I thought it was fixed, but then it showed up again. I think your report might help me narrow it down a bit better, I never clued into the one-pixel thing.
Keep the issues coming. It will really help me in prioritizing what to work on for future releases.

When I try to use Godot, he always returns an error. I think it is because he has no (blink).
And his graphics are pretty messed up (he doesn't talk) anyways.
But overall great job, I love PyWright!
Keep 'em coming!

Thanks for this report. I am starting a separate thread for character problems, I think there may be a lot that I don't know about.

I don't know if this is a problem on my computer only, but the Cross examination and Witness testimony animations always start with a pink background which then fades in. I think the animations in the fg directory should have transparent backgrounds instead of pink.
Cheers, Happy New Year!

The pink is supposed to be rendered as transparent, but I'll take a look and clean it up. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Another beta 10 release is in order anyhow
Hope you are well, happy new year!

if I understand correctly, you're saying that: if the command is enabled fade-in or fade-out the Testimony Anim has a pink background? It is true can happen if the command is enabled fade only because, as you said, you have a pink background to what you can 'overcome precisely by transforming the background from pink to transparent but also because it would be hard work trying to I tried to help you but .. nothing! after my "editing" you could see the pink dots close to writing!
PS = Sorry for my English is always (and I stress) always blame the translator ^ _ ^
